LUXEMBOURG – Subsea 7 says the day rate contract for its pipelay support vessel Seven Mar, which has been working for Petrobras offshore Brazil, has been canceled.
According to the contractor, this is due to Brazilian maritime law prioritizing Brazilian-flagged vessels over internationalvessels of a similar specification.
Although the contract was due to run until the end of this year,Seven Mar’s operating license had expired, resulting in the early termination.
