Normand Maximus on charter to Saipem

Solstad Offshore has taken delivery of the offshore construction vessel Normand Maximus from Vard Brattvaag.

SKUDENESHAVN, NorwaySolstad Offshore has taken delivery of the offshore construction vessel Normand Maximus from Vard Brattvaag. The vessel has already started an eight-year charter contract with Saipem.

TheNormand Maximus, developed with Saipem and Vard, is equipped with a 900-ton active heave compensated offshore crane and a 550-ton top tension vertical lay-system, allowing it to install large diameter flexible pipes in ultra-deepwater.

Vard built the vessel in Romania and Norway.
