Normand Maximus on charter to Saipem

Solstad Offshore has taken delivery of the offshore construction vessel Normand Maximus from Vard Brattvaag.

SKUDENESHAVN, Norway – Solstad Offshore has taken delivery of the offshore construction vessel Normand Maximus from Vard Brattvaag. The vessel has already started an eight-year charter contract with Saipem.

TheNormand Maximus, developed with Saipem and Vard, is equipped with a 900-ton active heave compensated offshore crane and a 550-ton top tension vertical lay-system, allowing it to install large diameter flexible pipes in ultra-deepwater.

Vard built the vessel in Romania and Norway.
