LARNACA, Cyprus – Prosafe’s semisubmersible accommodation vessel Safe Boreas has started operations at Talisman Sinopec Energy UK’s Montrose field in the UK central North Sea.
The rig is stationed close to the Montrose A platform and will also provide a gangway connection to the newMontrose BLP platform.
The eight-month contract, which carries options for extensions, is valued at around $60 million.
Prosafe’s tender support vesselSafe Scandinavia has also started a contract for Statoil at the Oseberg Øst installation in the Norwegian North Sea.
It will be used to provide accommodation, mud services, and other marine operations with a telescopic gangway link to the platform.
