Offshore staff

(International) - ABB has secured contracts worth $140 million in total to supply its Azipod propulsion systems and electrical power equipment.

The offshore orders include:

-- Equipment for a drilling vessel under construction by Samsung in Korea, for Norway's Mosvold Drilling. The scope includes generators, thrusters, motors, main switchboards, and transformers;

-- Total electrical power system packages for two semisubs being built at the Jurong Shipyard, Singapore for SeaDrill; and

-- Outfitting of a well intervention vessel, an anchor handler, and a towing vessel for Island Offshore, and another anchor handler vessel for Farstad Shipping.
