KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia — MISC Berhad has entered a binding heads of agreement with Petronas Gas Berhad (PGB) subsidiary Pengerang LNG (Two).
This covers the supply, operation and maintenance of an LNG FSU for deployment at the Petronas LNG Regasification Terminal Pengerang in Johor, Malaysia.
MISC and PGB previously collaborated on the deployments of the FSUs Tenaga Satu and Tenaga Empat at the LNG Regasification Terminal Sungai Udang, Melaka.
For the new project, MISC plans to convert the LNG Carrier Puteri Delima Satu into an FSU that would be designed to receive shore power to reduce its emissions.
It should start commercial operations by second-quarter 2025 under a 20-year contract with options for an extension.
