ATHENS, Greece — The Energean Power FPSO has lifted Israel’s first crude oil cargo for export to global markets.
The vessel, moored in the eastern Mediterranean Sea, is designed to offload liquids in a controlled fashion for onward sale to various sectors. The cargo has been sold under a multi-cargo marketing agreement with Vitol.
Energean group commercial director Nick Whitney said, "While we remain a gas focused company… light, sweet crude oil responsibly produced from modern, low-carbon intensity facilities is very much in demand, globally.”
