LIMASSOL, Cyprus  Pelagic Partners has secured a series of newbuild orders for commissioning service operation vessels (CSOVs) to be built at Cochin Shipyard in India.

The total value is more than 350 million (US$352 million), with the vessels due to be delivered in first-quarter 2025. Pelagic Wind Services (PWS) will act as commercial and technical manager for the fleet.

The purpose-built vessels, based on Kongsberg’s UT 5519 HL-design, will provide zero-emission capabilities via their dual-fuel engines and hybrid propulsion. The hotel facilities and onboard logistics should help provide a safe and attractive workspace for the offshore engineers, Pelagic Partners added.

PWS managing director Andre Groeneveld said, “The newbuild vessels have major differentiating points such as a significantly increased DP capability, highly efficient methanol-ready gen sets and a fully electric autonomous gangway with large crane capacity.”
