Malaysian offshore vessel operator boosts fast crew boat fleet

SINGAPORE — Surya Nautika has ordered four 40-m Gen3 fast crew boats (FCB) from Strategic Marine for delivery from first-quarter 2023 onward.

The Malaysian vessel operator is a licensed Petronas contractor, providing marine transportation and offshore support service. Other local clients include Exxon Mobil and Shell.

Surya, which owns and operates a fleet of seven crew boats, aims to be one of Malaysia’s largest crew boat operators. In addition, the company performs diving and engineering services and is investing in a new saturation diving system and ROVs for its subsea business.

This is Strategic Marine’s third order for FCBs from Malaysian operators.
