KONGSBERG, Norway — Kongsberg Maritime will supply thrusters and associated equipment to Norwegian vessel operator Olympic for two new offshore construction service operation vessels designed by Ulstein.
Two Kongsberg US 205 PM L FP L-drive azimuthing thrusters will be located fore and aft in the TWIN X-STERN double-ended hybrid-powered vessels.
Kongsberg’s package will also include dynamic positioning, navigation, thruster control and information management systems, with inbuilt measures designed to improve efficiency and safety.
The company’s integrated vessel control system will be deployed to integrate the K-Pos dynamic positioning system, the K-Thrust thruster control system and K-Bridge operating on the vessels’ K-Master integrated workstation consoles.
