Awilco Drilling has signed a sale and purchase agreement with Rota Shipping to recycle the semisubmersible WilHunter at the Aliaga Shipyard in Turkey.

ABERDEEN, U.K. — Awilco Drilling has signed a sale and purchase agreement with Rota Shipping to recycle the semisubmersible WilHunter at the Aliaga Shipyard in Turkey.

The rig has been cold stacked in Invergordon, northeast Scotland.

Awilco expects the sale to be completed by mid-June.
