Maersk awarded North Sea work for harsh-environment rig

Maersk Drilling has secured a $16.9-million contract for the harsh environment jackup Maersk Resolve.

LYNGBY, Denmark – Maersk Drilling has secured a $16.9-million contract from an unnamed company for the harsh environment jackup Maersk Resolve.

The program in the UK North Sea is due to start next month, with options for additional work scopes that would extend the campaign by up to 85 days.

The Maersk Resolve is a Gusto-engineered MSC CJ50 jackup, currently warm-stacked in Esbjerg, western Denmark after completing its previous assignment in the UK North Sea in January.
