LONDON Neptune Energy and Boskalis have removed three gas platforms from the ‘L’ Quadrant of the Dutch North Sea.

The L10-C, L10-D, and L10-G installations had ceased production in 2016, having supplied gas to the Netherlands for around 40 years.

Boskalis’ Bokalift 1 removed around 3,400 metric tons (3,748 tons) of steel structures during the campaign, using its 3,000-ton crane, which were lifted onto the vessel’s deck.

The L10 Area continues to operate with gas produced from numerous satellite facilities close to Neptune’s L10-A platform.
