OSLO, Norway – Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding (SWS) has contracted TMC Compressors of the Seas (TMC) to supply a marine compressed air system to a newbuild FPSO the yard is constructing for SBM Offshore.
The system will comprise four large service and instrument air compressors with associated air dryers and filters and will be delivered directly to SWS in China.
This is the third new FPSO SWS is building based on SBM Offshore’s Fast4Ward hull and standardized topsides modules.
In January 2018, TMC won a contract to supply the marine compressed air system to the first of these FPSOs, followed by an order for the second Fast4Ward floater in 2019.
