MMA Pinnacle to perform IRM duties in the Far East

ABERDEEN, UKi-Tech Services has secured an inspection, repair and maintenance contract for its MMA Pinnacle light construction vessel from an oil and gas services company in Malaysia.

The 30-day campaign will involve provision of general visual inspection services and change-out of subsea hardware in water depths of 1,400 m (4,593 ft), using the vessel’s 150-metric ton (165-ton) crane.

The vessel, which will mobilize in Singapore, has been fitted with a range of i-Tech Services’ equipment which includes two 3,000-m (9,842-ft) rated Centurion SP Work Class ROVs, designed for deepwater service.

In May, the company signed a three-year charter agreement for theMMA Pinnacle with MMA Offshore to enhance its Life-of-Field services and capabilities in the Asia/Pacific region.

The 87-m (285-ft) long, DP-2 vessel can accommodate up to 100 personnel. It features a 150-metric ton (165-ton) MacGregor active heave compensated crane with a 1,000-sq m (10,764-sq ft) deck, and a helideck.

Onboard infrastructure is said to allow for longer periods on location offshore.
