RIO DAS OSTRAS, Brazil – Petrobras has awarded Fugro a two-year contract to provide inspection, repair and maintenance (IRM) and pipeline inspection services offshore Brazil.
It follows the contractor’s completion of an initial 12-month assignment for Petrobras after taking delivery of the newbuild vesselFugro Aquarius.
The DP-2, ROV support vessel, purpose-built for the Brazilian market by Wilson Sons shipyard in São Paulo, is 83 m (272 ft) long with a deck area of 520 sq m (5,597 sq ft), and equipped with two Fugro-built 150-hp 3,000-m (9,842-ft) water depth work class ROVs.
