Offshore staff

HOUSTON -- Shell has contracted MCS to certify the top tensioned risers on its Perdido spar, slated for installation in the Gulf of Mexico.

MCS will provide verification of the top tensioned risers through all phases of the project. Tasks will involve analysis, materials and component selection, qualification testing, equipment inspection verification, and monitoring of offshore installation.

Under new MMS requirements, floating platform risers must be tested by a certified verification agent.
