BERGEN, Norway --Oceanteam Power & Umbilical ASA has signed a Letter of Intent with SMD Hydrovision for a power cable and umbilical subsea bury vehicle capable of 3 m (10 ft) bury depths in a variety of soils.

According to Oceanteam, the vehicle will handle up to 30 cm (11.8 in) cabling with a 5 m (16.4 ft) bend radius.

Delivery is scheduled for Oct. 2007.
