STAINES, UK --BP International has awarded JP Kenny (JPK) a global agreement to provide engineering and project management services for its offshore field developments.

Under the terms of the agreement, JPK has already started work on a new phase of the Shah Deniz project offshore Azerbaijan.

The two companies have worked together on numerous subsea projects in the North Sea, Gulf of Mexico, Southeast Asia, and deepwater operations in Angolan block 31.

"As we successfully expand into new, ever more challenging environments…the technologies needed to maintain safe, reliable operations become ever more sophisticated," says David Clarkson, BP's E&P Technology vice-president of Projects & Engineering

"Through this agreement...and our similar agreements with other contractors in the subsea sector, we will jointly design the most up-to-date subsea facilities to meet the increasing demands for more efficient energy production."
