Acergy secures subsea contract

Acergy S.A. has been awarded a $670-million contract for the engineering, procurement, fabrication, and installation of an export line, rigid in-field pipelines, riser, manifolds, and control umbilicals.

LONDON -- Acergy S.A. has been awarded a $670-million contract for the engineering, procurement, fabrication, and installation of an export line, rigid in-field pipelines, riser, manifolds, and control umbilicals. The equipment will be installed offshore Angola in water depths from 20 m (60 ft) to 1,200 m (3,937 ft).

Fabrication will take place at the Sonamet yard in Lobito. Offshore installation is scheduled to start in 4Q 2008, using theAcergy Polaris and the Polar Queen.
