Petrobras awards subsea manifolds to Aker Kværner

Petrobras has awarded Aker Kværner contracts totaling $90 million for three subsea manifolds. Aker Kværner says it will design, manufacture, and deliver two oil production manifolds for Albacora in Campos basin and one gas export PLEM to Jubarte Phase II.

LYSAKER, Norway --Petrobras has awarded Aker Kværner contracts totaling $90 million for three subsea manifolds. Aker Kværner says it will design, manufacture, and deliver two oil production manifolds for Albacora in Campos basin and one gas export PLEM to Jubarte Phase II.

All will be designed for 2,000 m water depth and all will be completed at Aker Kværner's Curitiba, Brazil, facility. The Albacora manifolds are scheduled for delivery in 2009 with Jubarte due in 2010.

Aker Kværner Subsea in Aberdeen will supply the control systems with offices in Norway and India contributing engineering.
