Clearance for Vigdis template

OSLO, Norway --Norway's Petroleum Safety Authority has approved the use of a subsea production and injection template on the Vigdis Extension 2 project in the North Sea.
StatoilHydro has installed the four-slot 34/7-G template around 100 m (328 ft) southeast of satellite well C-5H. The well is connected to the template, with a flexible pipeline transferring the wellstream to the Snorre A platform via existing offshore infrastructure.
The company will pump injection water from the platform to the template, with well operations controlled via a dedicated umbilical.
