THE HAGUE, The Netherlands --Twister BV and Petrobras have finalized a joint technology development agreement for the first phase of a subsea gas processing unit.

Petrobras purchased a Twister unit for an onshore test prior to a subsea pilot program. The onshore test will be at Estação Geofisico Vandemir Ferreira de Oliveria which processing gas from the Manati platform. The subsequent subsea test likely will be at Canapu in the Espirito Santo basin, according to Petrobras.

The project builds on a feasibility study into using Twister gas processing technology in a subsea environment completed by Shell, FMC-Kongsberg, and Twister BV in 2002 funded by the Norwegian government.
