Pemex awards Cantarell subsea trees to FMC

Pemex E&P has awarded a $29-million subsea contract to FMC subsidiary FMC Technologies de Mexico, SA de CV.

HOUSTON --Pemex E&P has awarded a $29-million subsea contract to FMC subsidiary FMC Technologies de Mexico, SA de CV.

FMC will deliver 10 subsea trees, umbilicals, and surface control systems for the Cantarell field in the Bay of Campeche, beginning this month.

The Cantarell field in 150 ft (46 m) of water is the largest oil field in Mexico. It comprises four major fields: Akal, Nohoch, Chac, and Kutz.
