KIRKBYMOORSIDE, UK --Australian engineering group Clough has commissioned two Triton XLX ROVs from Perry Slingsby Systems.

Perry's manufacturing center in Kirkbymoorside, northern England, will deliver the 150 hp, 3,000-m (9,842-ft) water depth rated system by spring 2008. They will be installed on theREM Clough, a new diving support and subsea construction vessel designed for the Asia-Pacific sector, which is due to be completed next June.

Both ROVs will incorporate an ICE (Integrated Controls Engine) subsea control system, which, according to Perry, provides "an intuitive front-end user interface with unparalleled system level diagnostics".
