OSLO, Norway --Revus Energy says concept planning is under way to develop the Astero field in the Norwegian North Sea. The probable outcome is a subsea tieback to a nearby installation, which could be Fram, the company says

The company is also a partner in a current appraisal well on the Oselvar discovery in the same sector. A successful outcome could again lead to a tieback to an area platform such as Gyda, Ekofisk, or Ula.

Revus is partnering Talisman on the Yme re-development, which should come on stream in mid-2009 via a jackup platform. The partners also expect to drill an appraisal well in the Yme area during the first half of 2008 in production license PL 316C.
