Norsk Hydro contracts FMC subsea systems for Vega, Vega South

HOUSTON --Norsk Hydro has contracted FMC Technologies Inc. to supply the subsea systems for Vega and Vega South fields in the North Sea off Norway.
The $200-million contrat covers six subsea trees, three manifolds with protection structures, controls and a workover system. Fabrication is scheduled for Kongsberg, Norway, and Dunfermline, Scotland, with delivery in 2009.
Vega and Vega South are gas and condensate fields lie in 380 m (1,247 ft) of water in the blocks 35/8 and 35/11 about 80 km (50 mi) west of Florø in Sogn and Fjordane.
