Acergy to install Draugen satellites

Norske Shell has contracted Acergy for subsea installations on its $28 million Draugen D3-E3 development.

OSLO, Norway --Norske Shell has contracted Acergy for subsea installations on its $28 million Draugen D3-E3 development.

Acergy will install flexible pipe and an umbilical, well control umbilicals and other structures. The work will be performed on the Garn West and Rogn fields close to Draugen in the Norwegian Sea, in water depths of around 300 m (984 ft).

Additionally, Acergy will conduct tie-ins and testing work to hook up the new subsea wells. Offshore installations should take place in summer 2008.
