Petrobras contracts drilling ROV services from Subsea 7

Petroléo Brasileiro SA has contracted Subsea 7’s i-Tech division to supply ROV and intervention tooling on between 20 and 30 offshore drilling units.

ABERDEEN, UK – Petroléo Brasileiro SA has contracted Subsea 7’s i-Tech division to supply ROV and intervention tooling on between 20 and 30 offshore drilling units.

The contract covers a newly designed ROV based on the Centurion QX work class model and the services are for five to 10 years duration at between $250 million and $405 million.

Subsea 7 says this is i-Tech’s largest contract since its formation in 2006.
