LIVINGSTON, Scotland -- WFS Energy & Environment has delivered a Seatooth wireless broadband radio modem and power transfer system to Beerenberg Corp. AS in support of disconnection and decommissioning of subsea conductors. Beerenberg, in turn, has delivered the new tool to Caldive for use in the Gulf of Mexico.

The new tool has two rings, one fits around a conductor and the other holds the cutting tool. The top ring rotates above the first ring to seven the conductor. WFS' Seatooth allows the two rings to communicate with one another while its wireless power transfer carries power between the fixed and rotating rings.
