Hallin wins Karianne support contract

Hallin Marine Subsea International has won a five-year, $25-million contract from Marine Subsea to provide ROV services for the new subsea intervention/construction support vessel Karianne.

SINGAPORE -- Hallin Marine Subsea International has won a five-year, $25-million contract from Marine Subsea to provide ROV services for the new subsea intervention/construction support vessel Karianne.

The scope includes supply of two new Quantum XP 200 HP ROVs and handling systems, and personnel to deploy and operate the vehicles.

UK-based SMD will manufacture the ROVs and their customized handling systems and hangers, which will be built into the 120-m (393-ft) long Karianne.

Both ROVs will be rate for operations in water depths down to 3,000 m (9,842 ft).
