Shell goes to Dril-Quip for Mars subsea equipment

Shell Offshore Inc. has signed a $27-million contract for Dril-Quip Inc. to supply subsea equipment to the Mars Olympus TLP in Mississippi Canyon, Gulf of Mexico.

HOUSTON – Shell Offshore Inc. has signed a $27-million contract for Dril-Quip Inc. to supply subsea equipment to the Mars Olympus TLP in Mississippi Canyon, Gulf of Mexico.

Dril-Quip is to supply subsea wellhead equipment, production riser tieback connectors, and drilling riser components. Olympus is part of the Mars B Project.
