Statoil awards $75-million Vigdis production system to FMC

Statoil has signed a contract for FMC Technologies Inc. to supply subsea production hardware to the Vigdis North-East project in the Norwegian North Sea.

HOUSTON – Statoil has signed a contract for FMC Technologies Inc. to supply subsea production hardware to the Vigdis North-East project in the Norwegian North Sea. FMC is to supply four subsea trees, one manifold, subsea and topside controls, and an umbilical.
Deliveries are scheduled to begin in 3Q 2011 to the fasttrack project in 920 ft (280 m) water depth.
