LONDON – Petrobras has awarded Acergy a contract for work at the Sul-Norte Capixaba project off Brazil in 30 to 100 m (98 to 328 ft) water depth.
Acergy will work with Odebrecht Oil & Gas on engineering, project management, procurement, and fabrication. Acergy also will handle installation of an 18-in 150-km long rigid gas pipeline linking the Camarupim field pipeline to Parque das Baleias. Diving, construction, and pre-commissioning are included.
Engineering is to begin immediately with offshore installation in 4Q 2011 using the Acergy Polaris and AcergyHarrier.
The total project cost is $240 million, with Acergy’s share at $190 million.
