ABERDEEN, UK -- Apache North Sea has contracted RBG for riser replacement work on the Forties production complex in the UK sector.

RBG’s yard in Invergordon, northern Scotland, has manufactured two 130-m (426-ft) long risers to replace existing systems on the Forties Bravo and Forties Charlie platforms.

The risers will be deployed onto an installation vessel prior to hook-up, with the program due to be completed at the end of July 2010. The project will be performed by RBG’s newly created Marine & Subsea division.

RBG’s Invergordon team also worked with Apache last year, manufacturing equipment for the Forties Charlie Spool Replacement project.
