EDINBURGH, UK – Perry Slingsby reports that it has recently carried out the integration and demonstration of SeeTrack CoPilot with a Triton XLX ROV equipped with a BlueView P900 sonar.

Through the demonstration, the ROV was made to follow waypoints in a chart of Perry Slingsby System’s Florida’s water tank using the SeeTrack CoPilot interface. The ROV traveled to each waypoint in sequence, and the operator started and stopped the mission and selected new waypoints at the touch of a button.

At the same time, the BlueView sonar data was overlaid on the chart in real time so that it was easy to contrast the sensor information with the chart data.

In the demonstration, the ROV was also made to orbit and transit relative to a vertical pipe that was being observed by the BlueView sonar using SeeTrack CoPilot’s automatic control algorithms.
