LYSAKER, Norway – Noble Energy Inc. has awarded Aker Solutions a NOK $150 million ($23.58 million) contract for subsea control equipment. The equipment is destined for Noble’s Tamar project in the Mediterranean Sea.
Scope of the contract includes engineering, manufacturing, and delivery of a subsea controls distribution system, umbilical termination assemblies (UTA), and related equipment.
Engineering and procurement will come from Aker’s Houston office and manufacturing of the UTAs and subsea controls distribution system are scheduled for Houston and Mobile, Alabama. Delivery is estimated for 1Q 2011.
