PERTH, Western Australia – Apache Energy Ltd. has awarded an $A22 million ($20.85 million) contract to TSmarine Asia Pacific for transportation and installation of flowlines and umbilicals to connect Halyard 1 to the Varanus Island operation hub via the East Spar subsea infrastructure.

The flowline and umbilical, to be provided on a total of 11 reels, will be collected in Europe and transported to Australia on a heavy lift vessel. The reels will then be transferred to the Bourbon Oceanteam 104.

The offshore works are scheduled to commence in February 2011 and are expected to take 45 days.

“Our new construction support vessel, Bourbon Oceanteam 104 (B104) will be deployed to undertake this work, which brings a new level of capability to the Asia/Pacific region in terms of offshore construction and intervention,” says Ian Rowson, TSmarine regional sales and marketing manager.
