GALVESTON, Texas – Infield Systems Ltd. has hit the exhibition floor at Subsea Tieback Conference with a trio of new reports.
First is a map of West Africa showing the latest in existing and in burgeoning areas of upstream oil and gas activity and potential.
The other two new items released at the show are market updates for 2010 to 2014 on both subsea well intervention and also FPSOs.
The well intervention report begins with riserless well intervention as practiced by Statoil for EOR operations. Riserless intervention, says Infield, has the potential to become vital to any operator around the world that has a number of subsea wells. Infield reports on the factors that have been limiting riserless intervention and discusses the changes in operator’s approaches that bode well for the future of the technology. The report continues to cover details on inspection, repair and maintenance, subsea installations, and the approaches used by operators, contractors, and suppliers.
The FPSO report indicates that the FPSO market, which had no new contracts in 2009, is staged for a comeback starting in 2010. Infield sees the continued demand from deepwater Brazil and West Africa will fuel the growth, and that other arenas and operators new to the technology will strengthen the numbers going forward.
