Petrobras awards Mexilhao production system to FMC

The subsea gas production system for Petrobras' Mexilhao field in 320 m to 550 m of water 160 km offshore Sao Paulo state was awarded to FMC Technologies Inc.

HOUSTON -- The subsea gas production system for Petrobras' Mexilhao field in 320 m to 550 m of water 160 km offshore Sao Paulo state was awarded to FMC Technologies Inc.
The $122-million order includes six subsea trees, two subsea manifolds with multiplexed controlls, and related subsea systems. The equipment is to be rated for 10,000 psi and 300 degF. It will be engineered and manufactured at FMC's Rio de Janeiro facility for 2008 delivery.
