Offshore staff
(Oslo) Hydro has started production from its NOK2.4 bn Fram East development project, north of Troll in the North Sea. The 61 MM bbl, 3 bcm field has been developed via two subsea production templates with eight drilling slots; produced oil and gas is exported to the Troll C platform. SemisubBredford Dolphin drilled the first producer � Fram East will eventually feature five producers and two water injectors.
Produced water from Troll C will provide pressure support to the reservoir. Fram East will also be able to harness injection gas from Fram West, via Troll C, to step up recovery rates in future. This is the first Hydro-operated subsea field to employ gas-lift injection.
