Venture Production ups throughput at Kittiwake complex through Goosander tieback
(Aberdeen) First oil has flowed from Venture Production's Goosander field in UK North Sea block 21/12. Goosander has been tied back to the Kittiwake platform via two subsea flowline bundles, with a total length of 12-km. Both were manufactured by Subsea7 in Wick, northern Scotland, and have been designed to accommodate future producer and water injector wells. They could also be re-used on future subsea tiebacks elsewhere.

For this development, Venture re-entered the Goosander discovery well 21/12-3, completing it as a producer. It plans to add a water injector next year, subject to early production performance. Venture estimate's the field's proven and probable oil reserves at 15.2 MM bbl, with a field life of seven to 10 years; Dana Petroleum is its 50% co-venturer in the Greater Kittiwake Area program.
