OSLO -- DONG E&P Norge has awarded Aker Solutions a $56-million EPC contract to deliver a complete subsea production system to the Oselvar field in the North Sea.
Aker’s scope of work includes engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) of a four-slot template with manifold, three subsea trees, control systems, subsea wellheads, and 28 km (17 mi) of steel tube umbilicals.
The Oselvar field is in the southwest area of the North Sea, in approximately 70 m (230 ft) water depth. The subsea production system will be tied back to the BP-operated Ula platform, located 23 km (14 mi) from Oselvar.
The project will be managed from the company’s headquarters in Oslo. The subsea equipment will primarily be manufactured at its Norwegian facilities in Tranby, Moss, and Egersund. Final equipment deliveries will be made in 1Q 2011.
