DOF Subsea wins Forties subsea construction contract

ABERDEEN, UK -- Apache North Sea has awarded DOF Subsea a $2.9 million contract to provide integrated subsea construction services on the Forties field.
The contract is for the subsea installation of nine impressed current cathodic protection systems (ICCP) on the Forties field platforms, and involves all aspects of DOF Subsea's services including installation engineering, vessels, ROVs, and survey. The ICCP systems are designed to protect the offshore installations from corrosion.
Installation engineering is due to begin in early 2009, with the offshore execution phase scheduled for August 2009.
