OSLO -- Dong E&P Norge has awarded Aker Solutions a $62-million EPC contract to deliver a complete subsea production system to the Trym field.

Aker Solution's scope of work includes engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) of two subsea well sets - including trees, controls, wellheads, and tie-in system - a four-slot template with manifold, 6 km (3.7 mi) of steel tube umbilicals, a high pressure riser, tools, and lifecycle services.

The subsea well sets for the Trym field will be from Aker Solutions' RapidSolution program, which is a pre-configured system with a dedicated stocking program that aims to provide a complete well set within a fraction of the traditional system lead times.

The subsea production system will be tied back to the Maersk-operated Harald platform in Danish sector, 6 km (3.7 km) south of the subsea field.

The project will be managed out of Aker Solutions' headquarters in Oslo. The majority of the subsea equipment will be manufactured at Aker Solutions' Norwegian facilities -- Tranby (subsea trees), Moss (umbilicals) and Egersund (template and manifold). Subsea control systems will be manufactured in Aberdeen, UK. Final equipment deliveries will be made in June 2010.
