Deepwater Gulfstar FPS to get InterMoor suction piles

Williams has contracted the design and fabrication of suction piles for its Gulfstar FPS to InterMoor.

HOUSTON –Williams has contracted the design and fabrication of suction piles for its Gulfstar FPS to InterMoor.

InterMoor will design and fabricate 10 suction piles, each 16 ft (4.9 m) in diameter and 97 ft (29½ m) long as anchors for the FPS in 4,300 ft (1,311 m) water depth in Mississippi Canyon block 768 of the Gulf of Mexico.

The Gulfstar spar platform will be designed to process 60,000 b/d of oil and 200 MMcf/d of gas.

InterMoor has begun fabrication at its Morgan City, Louisiana, facility.
