LUXEMBOURG – Statoil (OSE:STL; NYSE:STO) has awarded Subsea 7 (Oslo Børs:SUBC) the marine operations contract for the Gullfaks C subsea compression project in the Norwegian North Sea.
The $70-million program involves engineering, installation, and commissioning of a 15.5-km (9.6-mi) integrated power service umbilical, a protection structure, a subsea compressor station, pipeline spools, and tie-ins.
Engineering and project management is under way at Subsea 7’s Stavanger office, with offshore operations due to start in 2015.
