SINGAPORE – EMAS AMC has won two contracts from Statoil, for mooring chain and riser replacements in the Norwegian North Sea.

The combined value is roughly $71 million, rising to $100 million if contract options are exercised.

The mooring chain scope includes replacement work on part of the mooring system for several floating platforms. EMAS AMC will manage the program from its base in Oslo, with offshore operations scheduled for this summer.

As for the riser replacement scope, this includes riser recovery and installation work again for various floating platforms. Offshore replacement works will get under way later this year.
