Mermaid wins diving work offshore Middle East

Mermaid Maritime’s subsidiary in the Middle East has been awarded two saturation diving services contracts for offshore projects, both of six to eight months duration.

BANGKOK, ThailandMermaid Maritime’s subsidiary in the Middle East has been awarded two saturation diving services contracts for offshore projects, both of six to eight months duration. Total value is $40-45 million.

Work on the first contract is under way and the second will start directly after this program is completed.

Mermaid has chartered the DP-3 multi-purpose support vesselBourbon Evolution for both contracts. The company will also deploy its own diving equipment, ROVs, specialist divers, and other project crew.

Last month Mermaid took delivery of the DP-2 construction bargeMubarak Supporter on a three-year charter to service new contracts in the Middle East.
