DOUGLAS, UK -- Hallin Marine has signed a $40-million contract to provide a vessel and saturation diving system. The contract, which starts immediately, will initially operate on projects offshore of Indonesia and Malaysia.

The contract, Hallin's largest to date, runs for the next two years with a wholly owned subsidiary of Singapore's Swiber Holdings Ltd., Kreuz Offshore Marine Pte Ltd.

The Hallin-operatedSanko Angel multi-purpose subsea operations and support vessel will be fitted with one of the company's saturation diving systems for the two-year charter.

Additionally, there is a technical service agreement whereby Hallin will provide Kreuz with specialist subsea personnel and additional support equipment, which could increase the size of the company's project scope.

The 76-m (249-ft)Sanko Angel can accommodate up to 128 personnel and is fitted with 50 ton (45 metric ton) subsea crane and helicopter-deck. It will be operating in DP-2 mode during the construction and subsea projects.
