Petrobras awards Tambaứ subsea production to FMC

HOUSTON –Petrobras has awarded the subsea production system for the Tambaứ gas field to FMC Technologies. The $140-million contract covers four vertical subsea trees, manifolds, controls, and associated equipment, plus an option for two more trees.
The 10,000 psi system, to be built by FMC in Rio de Janeiro, is scheduled for installation in 4,400 ft (1,350 m) of water in Santos basin starting in 2009.
